A look at Ron’s recent work, ongoing projects and current focus.

Ron Bambridge Photographer

Ron is currently working on a permanent placement for his archive and an exhibition of his 1970’s unseen works

Ron has one of the most extensive photography archives you might ever find.

He has kept pretty much everything! Thousands of transparencies, contact sheets, slides, negatives, advertising prints and more.

Also included in the archive is a wonderful collection of cameras and equipment, as well as many of the magazines and books his work has appeared in.

A fascinating journey through the life and work of a photographer over the last 50 years. Within the archive are his unseen works.

A stunning collection of hundreds of images shot on film in the 1970’s in Brighton and London.

During his career, Ron has produced complex shoots for a vast range of clients, as well as his own personal projects.

Working on assignments across the UK and many countries, covering many continents, around the world.

Here are a few favourites.

A Conversation Between Futurecity Founder Mark Davy and Photographer Ron Bambridge Interview 2026

For nearly two decades internationally recognised and multi-award winning photographer Ron Bambridge has documented many of Futurecity’s public art projects, capturing not only the completed works, but also archiving the ideas, relationships and moments of exchange that shaped them.

“Working with Ron has always been about negotiation. He has an instinctive understanding of light and space, and an ability to see projects not just as objects, but as part of a wider idea. Over the years his images have become part of the Futurecity brand they help explain how our curation and the artist’s process is understood and remembered. Ron’s photographs don’t just document outcomes; they capture the architectural and spatial drama of many of the works. Thats’s an incredibly rare skill, and why our collaboration has lasted as long as it has.” Mark Davy Futurecity Founder & CEO
